"If my mission comes from the world, as they keep saying, the world before its end will see the end of my mission. If it comes from God, my mission before its end will see the end of the world,” Salomon Joseph Severe.
DOCTRINE OF EVANGELICAL MISSION OF CHRISTIANITY:
The doctrine of Evangelical Mission of Christianity is based on the fundamental doctrine that triumphed from the great persecutions the Church had confronted in the first three centuries. It is based upon the following:
- The incarnation of the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth, who has created all things. John 1v3; John 8v58; Colossians 1v 16; Hebrews 1v 10-12.
- The Holy sacrifice at Calvary, which consisted in Christ being a martyr for us sinners, and elevated on the cross as an outlaw. Jesus Christ being pierced on his side by a soldier, out of which water and blood flowed for the spiritual purification of those who believe. Matthew 27; Mark 15; Luke 23; John 18-19; I Corinthians 15.
We believe in the following:
- The resurrection of Jesus Christ, and in the final judgment. Math 25 v 31; Acts 1 v11; I Thess. 4 v 13.
- The baptism of the Holy Spirit. Eph 4v5; Romans 8v9; Acts 1v6; I Corinth. 12 v 13.
- All true miracles performed by the laying of hands, through the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 14 v12-14; II Corinthians 12v 12; Acts 16 v 3; Hebrews 13 v 8.
- Fraternal and divine communion, which require no sacrifice, as Christ having risen from the dead, will not die again. For it is written, “We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God.” Romans 6 v 9-10
